NBA 2K, the ultimate annual game for basketball fans, is about to be released. While fans and players don't have high expectations for gameplay and graphics improvements anymore, the player ratings announced by 2K every year still create quite a buzz. Just last night, 2K25 revealed the ratings of all the players, and here are the rankings of the top 30 players.
Top 30-21
88: Zion, Luka, Fox, Bam;
89: Pascal, Trae Young, PG, Bam, Butler, Dame;
Top 20-11
90: Haliburton, Maledon;
91: Vucevic;
92: Mitchell, Jaylen Brown, Kyrie, Kawhi;
93: Edwards, Booker, Bridges;
Top 10
94: Durant, AD;
95: LeBron, Curry, Tatum;
96: Alexander, Embiid;
97: Jokic, Luka, Giannis.
In this rating, LeBron, Durant, and Curry didn't make it to the top three, but they are still in the top ten players in the league. All three players who scored 97 are international players. Embiid, who scored 96, ranks first among all the members of the USA Olympic team in this rating. If we consider Embiid, who was born in Cameroon, as an international player, then the top five in this rating are all dominated by international players.
Although LeBron is nearly forty years old, he still received a rating of 95. In the first two seasons of his career, LeBron's initial ratings were 77 and 88, respectively. In the following 20 years, his initial rating has never been below 94. Another evergreen player is KD. Since his fourth year in the league, KD's 2K ratings have always been 90+, and his career rating has never dropped below 80.
